Tooth Loss Solutions

Implants

Implants are titanium screws that are placed in bone where a tooth has been lost. The implant is designed to act as the root of the missing tooth. A customized crown is attached to the implant to mimic the tooth that has been lost. The crown is shaded to match the remaining teeth so the implant will appear natural.

Bridges

A bridge is a restoration made of two or more crowns that attach to the teeth beside a space. A fake tooth, or pontic, is joined to the crowns to “bridge the gap” where the tooth has been lost. The bridge is fixed in place with cement. It cannot be removed.

Partial & Complete Dentures

These are removable appliances made of either plastic or a combination of metal and plastic that can replace one tooth or all teeth. Dentures are a cost-effective solution to replace a missing tooth, however they do not function as naturally as real teeth. Dentures tend to move around and can impede taste and speech slightly because they cover the roof of your mouth.
